DAQnx is a modular instrumentation platform that provides a unified architecture for synchronized data acquisition, signal generation, RF, and AI processing, aimed at simplifying complex industrial and scientific experimental setups.
DAQnx is a modular instrumentation platform designed for building synchronized systems for data acquisition, signal generation, RF, and AI processing. The architecture features a central chassis with one controller slot and three application slots, utilizing a unified USB-based backplane. It integrates embedded Linux, a programmable timing/trigger/synchronization fabric, and various swappable modules, including I/O, FPGA, and RF capabilities. By separating infrastructure from application functions, the platform ensures low latency, deterministic timing, and high-speed communication while eliminating the need to integrate disparate standalone devices with varying interfaces.
The platform is designed to assist engineers and researchers in industrial and scientific fields who require robust, scalable, and high-performance testing environments. By consolidating multiple functions—such as high-speed data lanes, low-jitter clock distribution, and power delivery—into a single architecture, DAQnx simplifies the development of complex experiments and test equipment. Developed by DAQnx AB, based in Stockholm, Sweden, the project addresses the challenges of integrating expensive or closed instruments, providing a flexible and cohesive solution for mission-critical electronic systems and signal processing applications.
