Imita Natura

Imita Natura develops Natural Eutectic Solvent (NADES) technology designed for the agri-food industry, specifically focusing on post-harvest protection and conservation. By mimicking biological processes, the company creates stable, 100% biodegradable, and food-grade liquids that stabilize natural active ingredients without the need for synthetic chemicals. This bio-inspired engineering approach utilizes plant-derived ingredients and AI-driven molecular synthesis to produce multifunctional solutions that act as direct treatments or additives, effectively inhibiting pathogens and extending the shelf life of agricultural produce.

This technology is critical for agricultural producers aiming to transition toward residue-free operations and meet sustainability goals. The company has validated its formulations through certified laboratory testing and is currently implementing industrial pilots at horticultural facilities. By providing a safe, natural alternative to traditional chemical treatments, Imita Natura helps partners address key challenges in food waste reduction and post-harvest management. The firm, based in Burjassot, Spain, collaborates with research institutions and innovation hubs to scale its solutions from laboratory research to commercial application.
