Established in 2013, the Mazumdar Shaw Medical Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to translational research, medical outreach, and philanthropic support, aiming to make cutting-edge medical science and advanced healthcare affordable.
The Mazumdar Shaw Medical Foundation (MSMF) is a nonprofit organization established in 2013 that focuses on translational research, medical outreach, and philanthropic support to make advanced healthcare more accessible and affordable. Working in collaboration with Narayana Health, MSMF has developed a unique, hospital-based ecosystem for guided innovation. Its infrastructure includes the Mazumdar Shaw Centre for Translational Research (MSCTR), the Mazumdar Shaw Technology Business Incubator (MSMF-TBI), the Advanced Diagnostic Research Centre (ADRC), and the Mazumdar Shaw Cancer Outreach Program (MSCOP). The foundation fosters a multidisciplinary environment where scientists, clinicians, and engineers collaborate to integrate disease biology, genomics, molecular research, and big data analytics with advanced technology to create next-generation healthcare solutions.
By bridging the gap between bench-side research and bedside applications, MSMF aims to address complex medical challenges in fields such as oncology, precision medicine, and molecular diagnostics. The foundation supports underprivileged patients through its outreach programs and encourages entrepreneurship to accelerate the development of smart, affordable diagnostic and therapeutic tools. By integrating these diverse capabilities under one roof, MSMF seeks to shift the traditional physician-hospital model toward an inclusive, technology-led framework that better serves the needs of individuals and the broader community.
