Remote Epigenetics

Remote Epigenetics is an agricultural biotechnology company that has developed a proprietary suite of natural, affordable small molecules designed to reprogram chromatin structure in plants. By utilizing these molecules—which include a class of volatile epigenetic modifiers known as Epi Volatiles—the company enables major shifts in gene expression to improve plant development and resilience. These modifiers can be applied to plants from a distance, offering a convenient delivery mechanism compared to traditional methods. The company further supports its technology through bioinformatics software tools that analyze and interpret complex gene expression changes, allowing for the identification of molecular markers linked to phenotypic development and stress response.

The company's solutions are aimed at addressing global agricultural challenges by enhancing crop yields and improving plant responses to abiotic stresses such as drought, cold, salinity, and flooding. By providing sustainable, technology-driven interventions, Remote Epigenetics seeks to reduce the negative environmental impacts of traditional farming while contributing to global food security. Founded in 2022 and based in San Diego, the company focuses on advancing agricultural productivity through its specialized platform.
