YamaYami

YamaYami is a biotechnology company based in Saint Petersburg, established in 2016, that specializes in the development and manufacture of high-tech skin care devices. The company is primarily recognized for its electronic hydrogel patch technology, known as E-PATCH, which utilizes electrotaxis to manage directed biological movement. This system integrates electronics, a power source, a conductive matrix, and hydrogel to deliver low-intensity current that facilitates skin rejuvenation, such as reducing puffiness and smoothing wrinkles. The company draws on multidisciplinary expertise, including electronics, software development, chemistry, industrial design, and dermatology, to create these innovative beauty and medical-grade solutions.

These products are designed for home use to improve skin health and aid in recovery processes, such as the accelerated healing of wounds. YamaYami's technological achievements have earned industry recognition, including being named a recipient of a top invention award by the International Federation of Inventors' Associations (IFIA) and the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) in 2024. Through its focus on integrating science into daily self-care, the company aims to impact the cosmetic and medical device markets by providing non-invasive, efficient, and science-backed alternatives to traditional skincare and therapeutic applications.
