Yupo Corporation America is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yupo Corporation Japan, specializing in the manufacture and distribution of synthetic papers. Founded in 1996, the company produces tree-free, waterproof, and tear-resistant synthetic substrates extruded from polypropylene. Its state-of-the-art, 160,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Chesapeake, Virginia, utilizes an extrusion process to create various grades, weights, and thicknesses of synthetic paper, which are then finished and distributed to markets throughout the United States, Canada, and South America.

The company’s products serve diverse applications across the print, design, and packaging sectors, including food and beverage labeling, automotive components, marketing materials, and industrial design. By offering a durable, recyclable, and chemical-resistant alternative to traditional pulp-based paper, Yupo enables clients to improve shelf life, withstand harsh environments, and utilize specialized finishing techniques like die-cutting and embossing.
