I am a plant geneticist with a focus on floral biology. I use CRISPR-Cas9 editing to modify key floral genes and assess target gene changes and floral phenotypes. My main species are domestic apple and hybrid poplar. My prior work includes sweetgum, Eucalypts, Arabidopsis.

About
I am a current assistant professor of Plant Genetics. Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at Oregon State University where I worked on genetic containment technology in forest trees. My PhD is from Washington University in St. Louis where I studied the regulation of intracellular membrane trafficking during polarized cell growth in Arabidopsis.
