About
Our research investigates how transcription factors control gene expression in plants through conserved DNA binding sites and cis-regulatory elements. We use cross-species DAP-seq (multiDAP), single-cell RNA-seq and ATAC-seq, and computational modeling to map transcriptional regulatory networks at cell-type resolution. We explore how these networks are conserved, rewired, or co-opted during stress responses, development, and evolution. Functional assays such as MPRA and CRISPR validate predicted regulatory elements and link DNA sequence to gene expression and phenotype.
