I study how diet‑derived bioactives, especially carotenoids, are metabolized and signal in mammals. Using genomics, proteomics, metagenomics, bioinformatics, and high‑throughput assays, we map gut–host interactions, barrier function, and inflammation to inform food-based health strategies.
