Alex Pak studies how interactions and forces shape collective behavior across soft matter and biomolecular assemblies, as well as engineered interfaces. He builds multiscale simulations leveraging bottom-up coarse-graining and machine learning models to connect molecular physics with mesoscale structure, dynamics, and material properties. His most recent work has focused on nonequilibrium thermodynamics and on engineering material processing conditions from the perspective of path entropy generation.
