The Central Laser Facility in Harwell, Oxford, brings together a multi-disciplinary team of biologists, chemists, and physicists across over 15 spectroscopic and microscopic systems utilising wavelengths from the far UV to the NIR alongside electron microscopy. We are an STFC facility who pride ourselves on our collaborative research abilities to tune our systems to the needs of our users. Personal Research spans chemical probe design and biological optics, with emphasis on single-molecule and multiphoton imaging of nucleic acids, fluorescence/PLIM/FLIM and Raman multimodality, and analytical biochemistry.
