About
In the division Polymer Processing, we develop and process polymeric materials under application-oriented, realistic conditions. Our portfolio ranges from fibers, films, and membranes to injection-molded components made from thermoplastic and bio-based polymers. By closely integrating material engineering, processing technology, and analytics, we tailor materials specifically to defined applications. Modern spinning, phase inversion, extrusion, compounding, and injection molding technologies enable the realization of innovative product solutions. In addition, we develop carbon fibers and carbon fiber materials and hold an internationally leading position in this field. Our approach is holistic and covers the entire value chain – from raw materials to the finished carbon material.
