Impaired substrate processing through the endosomal-autophagic-lysosomal system causes lysosomal storage diseases and neurodegenerative disorders, from childhood conditions to Alzheimer’s disease. Research in my lab identifies biomarkers and new therapies to prevent dysfunction or restore function.
