Seeking industry funding and sponsored research partnerships to develop PKS patient-derived disease models, identify therapeutic targets, screen existing compounds and evaluate targeted genetic approaches.
About
I am the founder of Project PKS, a patient-led nonprofit initiative created to accelerate therapeutic research for Pallister-Killian syndrome (PKS), a rare genetic neurodevelopmental disorder caused by mosaic tetrasomy 12p.
Project PKS is developing a translational research program with scientific collaborators to create patient-derived iPSC and brain organoid models, investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying PKS, and identify actionable therapeutic targets.
The program aims to identify the most therapeutically relevant gene and pathway dysregulation and evaluate strategies including drug repurposing and targeted approaches such as antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs).
