Modeling complex biological and infectious-disease systems using mathematical and computational tools—especially Boolean networks—to uncover design principles like canalization, modularity, and robustness that shape phenotypic and epidemic dynamics.
About
My research integrates mathematical biology, network science, and epidemiology to uncover the organizing principles of living and social systems. I use Boolean networks to model gene regulation and identify how canalization, bias, and modularity contribute to stability and evolvability. In parallel, I develop infectious-disease models that incorporate realistic social mixing and behavioral feedback to understand how individual differences and homophily, shape epidemic spread and control strategies.
