I am a leading expert in the field of the prostate cancer biomarker PSMA (prostate-specific membrane antigen). My group pioneered the development of novel scaffolds that lead to irreversible binding to PSMA, which have been used to deliver theranostic payloads in the clinic. We also pioneered the development of a novel pH-responsive linkers that can be tuned for controlled cargo release, atranslate this technology into controlled drug-release applications. We have recently employed these linkers in the successful development of PSMA-targeted small-molecule drug conjugates (SMDCs).
