FloZein Products brings 50 years of experience in zein manufacturing, formulation, & application development. As North America’s only commercial-scale zein producer, we combine practical production knowledge with expertise in protein chemistry, film formation, coatings, adhesion, encapsulation, and sustainable materials. Our current work uses zein’s unique hydrophobic, film-forming, and binding properties to develop barrier coatings for paper and packaging, BondAmaize™ biobased and compostable adhesives, biomass binders, and DermAmaize® films for personal care. We are solving challenges involving oil, grease, and moisture resistance, renewable adhesion, replacement of synthetic polymers, material compostability, and formulation stability.
