My research interests are in tribology and coatings, across various systems, scales and environments. I focus on synthesis and characterization of surfaces, and interfaces for precise control and improvement of their friction and wear properties and functionality.
About
I am an Associate Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of North Texas with more than 20 years of experience in friction, wear and lubrication. I have published 100+ publications (with ~8500 citations and h-index 36), 1 book and several book chapters. I also hold more than 10 patents (both US and International). Among my awards are TechConnect Innovation Awards, Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers Early Career Award, NSF Early Career Award, and Fulbright Scholarship Award.
