I develop sustainable biopolymer and nanocellulose-based materials that connect structure, surface chemistry, and function for applications in diagnostics, tissue engineering, controlled release, and environmental health.
I'm looking for
I am looking for collaborators, industry partners, and sponsors interested in translating natural-polymer materials into practical solutions for health, sustainability, agriculture, and environmental monitoring.
About
The Bio-Nano Advanced Health Materials (BioNAHM) Lab develops sustainable, high-function materials from natural polymers such as cellulose, nanocellulose, and silk fibroin. We study how structure, surface chemistry, and processing control material function, then use that knowledge to design platforms for point-of-care diagnostics, tissue engineering, controlled release, environmental remediation, and biomass revalorization. Our work integrates green chemistry, nanotechnology, and interfacial science to create practical solutions for human, animal, and environmental health. We are committed to collaborative research, student training, and translating bio-based technologies toward real-world impact.
