Dr. Xie is an associate Prof. at UMass Lowell, with 20+ years experience, Dr. Xie's research integrates synthetic biology tools and methods for biomanufacturing a series of high-value products, such as long-chain wax esters and omega-3 fatty acids from waste oils/fats, plastics (PET,PE), and CO2.
