About
I work with companies to identify, evaluate, and validate safer chemical and material alternatives that can meet real-world performance needs. At the Toxics Use Reduction Institute at UMass Lowell, I support manufacturers with alternatives assessment, laboratory evaluation, vendor and technology scouting, and practical implementation of safer chemistries. My current focus areas include PFAS-free release and barrier coatings, food-contact materials, surface treatments, polymer and inorganic coating alternatives, solventless/safer cleaning, chemical process scale-up, and applied green chemistry. I am especially interested in partnering with Massachusetts companies seeking practical, testable alternatives to fluorinated materials.
