Developing slippery covalently attached liquid-like coatings. I create patterns of these surfaces with variable wetting and adhesion properties and coat them onto different materials. I am also interested in how they can elucidate the more complex properties of droplet adhesion.

Research focuses on materials and surface science, with emphasis on wetting, droplet dynamics, liquid-like and slippery coatings, patterned interfaces, and metamaterial-based surfaces for controlling adhesion, friction, fouling, icing, and fluid transport.
