James D. Sheehan, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Chemical & Biological Engineering at the University of Alabama. His research focuses on creating novel polymeric materials through interfacial engineering, biorefining of lignocellulosic biomass, and chemical upcycling of plastics. His group employs supercritical fluids and non-hazardous solvents to design eco-friendly processes for sustainable polymer applications.
