I run 2 research labs. In Adelaide, Australia I am using synthetic biology to develop new sustainable crops, with a focus on protein and fibre. At Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in California we are developing dedicated bioenergy crops, and enhancing beneficial plant-microbe interactions.
