Már Másson completed his Doctor of Engineering – Biotechnology from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, in 1995. He Professor in Medicinal Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Iceland. He is a co-founder, along with his Ph.D. student Vivien Nagy, of the spin-off company "Minamo."
