Target proteins in my research are protein-based polymers (self-assembling proteins like collagen and silk that have structure-forming properties), enzymes, (bioactive) peptides, and food proteins (precision fermentation). Although we use various hosts, Pichia pastoris has been our main workhorse for about 30 years.
