I work in bio-inspired solutions (i.e. nature-driven technology) to create more robust, resilient and efficient robots. I pioneered the soft robotics and the underwater legged robotics fields, and I am currently working toward novel robots for agriculture (phenotyping, harvesting, monitoring).
