Advancing genetic modification through Super-Agrobacterium, CRISPR-edited GABA-rich tomato and long-shelf-life melon, and Melonet-DB, while extending toward a new diagnostic system that predicts regeneration outcomes from early molecular signals and guides minimal interventions.
About
Our research advances crop transformation by developing Super-Agrobacterium to enhance efficiency, applying CRISPR/Cas9 to create genome-edited crops such as GABA-rich tomato and long-shelf-life melon, and establishing Melonet-DB, a melon atlas supporting molecular breeding. Building on these, we are developing an early diagnostic system to predict regeneration outcomes within 0–3 days from molecular signals and recommend minimal interventions. This system reduces trial-and-error, lowers cost, and establishes robust, reproducible regeneration workflows for next-generation crop improvement.
