Understanding physiological and molecular mechanisms associated with turfgrass stress response and developing effective strategies for stress tolerance, especially through the use of different biostimulants and organic compounds
About
I am a faculty research associate in the Department of Plant Biology at Rutgers University. My education and training are in turfgrass stress physiology, and my current research focuses on understanding mechanisms and developing strategies for improving abiotic stress tolerance in cool-season turfgrasses. I have authored and co-authored 24 refereed journal articles from basic and applied research projects and have completed turfgrass industry reports and non-technical articles for 31 contracted research trials. I received the James Watson Fellowship from the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America in 2022 and the Outstanding Graduate Research Award from Rutgers University in 2019, as well as 6 Outstanding Graduate Presentation awards from the Crop Science Society of America.
