RNA-based approaches for tackling vascular-limited viruses and insect pests that are difficult to manage with chemical pesticides.
About
Dr Vivien Tsai earned her BSc and MSc from National Taiwan University and completed her PhD (2023) at the Queensland Alliance for Agriculture and Food Innovation, University of Queensland. Her doctoral research focused on small RNA-mediated responses to the capsicum chlorosis virus under elevated temperatures and the use of RNA-based approaches for virus management. Before QAAFI, she worked at the Hualien District Agricultural Research and Extension Station. She is now a postdoctoral researcher developing enhancement tools for RNA-based technology against whitefly and begomoviruses.
