My research area is advanced materials from bio-based resources for quality life. The subjects are centered around renewable materials from various sources to develop high value-added products via trans-disciplinary scientific approaches. Macromolecular materials of natural origin, like cellulose, chitin, lignin etc. astudied from the molecular and colloidal levels up. Pickering emulsions will be used as designer platforms to provide a very efficient route to prepare multiphase systems, from which multicomponent functional hybrid materials in forms of microcapsules could be further developed.
