Research in my lab is focused on how plants sense and respond to environmental temperature changes. We are particularly interested in understanding the molecular mechanism by which warm, nonstressful temperatures and heat stress affect plant morphology, architecture, and growth-defense trade-off. We aim to apply our discoveries in model plant species to economic crops, such as tomato and cereal crops, through our collaborations with scientists at the USDA and other institutions.
