M4Life is building a global platform for climate-resilient agriculture using BioTrained beneficial microbes that help crops produce more with less water while regenerating soil health. Agriculture faces increasing pressure from drought, soil degradation and climate variability. Current solutions often require trade-offs between productivity and sustainability. M4Life addresses both by engineering naturally occurring bacteria through its proprietary BioTraining® platform, enhancing their ability to colonize plant roots, improve water-use efficiency and strengthen crop resilience under abiotic stress. Our first commercial products, BIO.R and BIO.C, are liquid microbial biostimulants compatible with existing farming practices. They integrate seamlessly into seed treatment or irrigation systems, requiring no additional equipment or changes to farmers' operations. The technology has reached TRL 9, with more than 100 field trials across multiple crops and commercial sales in Argentina. International validation includes pilot programs in the United Arab Emirates and New Zealand, demonstrating improved crop performance under water-limited conditions. M4Life has also been recognized through international innovation programs, including selection as a finalist in the Al Miyah Challenge for agricultural water efficiency. We are currently seeking licensing, distribution and commercialization partners, as well as strategic investors and non-dilutive funding opportunities, to accelerate international growth. We also welcome collaborations with seed companies, biological input companies and agribusinesses for joint development, field validation and market expansion.
M4Life is an AgTech startup that develops agricultural biological products using a proprietary bio-training process. The company isolates microorganisms from the roots of plants that thrive in highly stressful environments, such as those with high salinity or drought. Through a specialized laboratory bio-training process, these microbes are conditioned to improve their stress resistance and adaptability. The final products are formulated for seed coating, allowing the seeds to act as carriers that deliver these microbes to the soil, where they promote plant growth and restore soil biodiversity. M4Life distinguishes itself from standard bio-stimulants by focusing on this specific bio-training methodology to enhance the effectiveness of their microbial solutions.
These solutions are designed to address critical global challenges in agriculture, including low crop productivity, abiotic stress, soil degradation, and the environmental impact of deforestation driven by the expansion of agricultural land. By improving the resilience of crops like soybean, wheat, maize, and sunflower under adverse conditions, M4Life aims to support food security and sustainable farming practices. The company has validated its technology through over one hundred field trials and has received recognition for its innovation, including various climate resilience and startup awards. Operating as Biophilia SAS, the company is based in Argentina and serves markets in the agricultural sector.
