Company

ABEL is a minimally invasive nasal microsampler that standardises collection of undiluted nasal fluid. It is site specific with a capped collection volume for reduction of variability ahead of downstream analysis. FDA-listed Class I medical device and ARTG-registered, it is currently being used across clinical and research studies where reproducible nasal-fluid sampling is required. Current applications include respiratory biomarker research across asthma, COPD, and CRS patients, environmental and allergen exposure studies, with further applications such as post-lung transplant monitoring under investigation by our customers and collaborators. CE-marking activities are underway, alongside development of next-generation versions optimised for broader applications, including self-collection and paediatric collection. We offer supply/purchase and licensing for organisations/researchers seeking to incorporate standardised nasal sampling into their own research or clinical programmes. ABEL also acts as the sampling infrastructure layer for Diag-Nose's broader multi-omics and biomarker platform.

About Diag-Nose.io

Diag-Nose.io is a biotechnology company founded in 2020 that develops precision medicine solutions for respiratory healthcare. The company utilizes a proprietary technology platform called RhinoMAP, which combines nasal liquid biopsies collected via their patented ABEL Microsampler device with advanced proteomics, computational biology, and AI-driven machine learning algorithms. This approach aims to decode the biology of the unified airway—the relationship between the lungs and nasal passages—to provide clinicians with actionable insights into respiratory disease progression and treatment efficacy, particularly regarding anti-Th2 biologics.

The company addresses significant gaps in traditional respiratory care, where treatment decisions are often based on subjective symptoms rather than molecular endotypes, frequently leading to ineffective therapies and prolonged patient distress. By enabling objective, omics-grade biomarker analysis, Diag-Nose.io seeks to reduce side effects, accelerate the development of new lifesaving medicines, and improve treatment adherence for conditions like chronic sinusitis and asthma. Headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, the company has secured FDA listing for its sampling device and completed the global Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) program, underscoring its commitment to bringing rigorous, data-backed precision tools to global clinical and research markets.
