Explore how exercise intensity, duration, and hydration status influence beverage preferences and fluid intake. Our research identifies optimal formulations of flavored drinks with specific sugar and sodium levels to enhance hydration and performance during physical activity.
This research focuses on understanding the impact of exercise intensity, duration, and hydration status on beverage preferences and voluntary fluid intake. Our objective is to develop optimized hydration beverages that enhance palatability and encourage increased consumption during physical activities. With the right combination of flavors, sugar, and sodium, these drinks can help maintain hydration and improve athletic performance.
This research has reached Technology Readiness Level 6, indicating that it has been tested in relevant environments and is ready for further validation with active participants under controlled conditions. The findings will contribute to developing market-ready hydration solutions for athletes and active individuals.
