Advanced PFAS-free polyolefin membranes with enhanced superhydrophobic and oleophobic properties, ideal for environments requiring reduced adhesion to soil and dust. These membranes offer improved chemical resistance and wetting resistance to water and oils.
Salvinno introduces an innovative solution with its PFAS-free superhydrophobic and oleophobic polyolefin membranes. These advanced membranes are engineered to exhibit exceptional resistance to water, oils, and environmental contaminants like soil and dust. This makes them ideal for applications in industries where cleanliness and material longevity are paramount, such as filtration, protective clothing, and outdoor surfaces.
Our technology involves the nanotexturing and chemical modification of polymeric surfaces, specifically targeting polyolefin membranes like polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE). The treated membranes achieve a static water contact angle exceeding 150° and a contact angle hysteresis below 10°, ensuring minimal adhesion of liquids. Oil resistance is verified with a high performance grade of 6 as per the AATCC standard. Initial testing uses A4-sized sheets to optimize conditions, while future plans include scaling up to 1-meter wide rolls.
Currently at Technology Readiness Level 5, our membranes have been validated in controlled environments. Future steps involve outdoor testing to evaluate long-term durability and dirt accumulation resistance. These tests, guided by end-user feedback, will help ensure the membranes meet industry standards and are ready for commercial use.
Salvinno is a company focused on innovative membrane technologies, emphasizing sustainability and high-performance filtration solutions.
