This innovative solution offers rapid, low-cost SNP detection using multiplex one-pot LAMP-OSD assays. It enhances traditional LAMP technology for high-accuracy diagnostics with single endpoint visual readout, suitable for pathogen and human gene analysis without complex instruments.
The multiplex one-pot LAMP-OSD assay is a cutting-edge solution for single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) detection. This technology leverages the power of loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) and oligonucleotide strand displacement (OSD) to provide a rapid, low-cost, and highly accurate diagnostic tool. By employing engineered LAMP polymerases and optimized OSD probes, the system produces a visual readout that is both simple and effective, eliminating the need for complex real-time reaction monitoring equipment. This solution has been successfully demonstrated for pathogen and human gene analysis, including direct sample testing using saliva and skin scrapings.
The LAMP-OSD technology is currently at TRL 5. It has been validated in a relevant environment with synthetic templates, and further validation is planned with human genomic DNA and biospecimens to benchmark performance against PCR and sequencing.
