Introducing a sophisticated wearable device combining microcurrent stimulation, iontophoretic delivery, and AI-driven diagnostics for scalp and hair care. This platform enhances hair growth and scalp health with real-time personalization and connectivity.

Overview

This innovative bioelectronic device is designed to revolutionize scalp and hair care by integrating three advanced modalities into a single wearable system. The device employs microcurrent electric-field stimulation using iontophoretic electrodes to invigorate scalp tissue and enhance follicular activity. Additionally, it facilitates the iontophoretic transdermal delivery of active ingredients such as minoxidil, peptides, and caffeine, ensuring precise control over the rate and dosage. An onboard imaging module captures scalp diagnostics, while a machine-learning controller analyzes these images to classify scalp conditions and tailor stimulation and delivery for each user. The device also features Wi-Fi/BLE connectivity for app-based personalization, usage tracking, and professional oversight.

Technical specifications

Key features:

  • Microcurrent stimulation: Enhances scalp tissue and follicular activity
  • Iontophoretic delivery: Precise transdermal administration of actives like minoxidil and peptides
  • Onboard diagnostics: Imaging module for real-time scalp analysis
  • AI-driven adaptation: Machine-learning controller personalizes treatment based on user-specific data
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi/BLE for seamless integration with apps and professional oversight
Technology readiness level

The technology is currently at TRL 6, having been validated using porcine skin models, which are analogous to human scalp tissue. This validation demonstrated significant improvements in tissue repair, follicular regeneration, and biomarker profiles, positioning the technology for further development and consumer-ready prototyping.
