The ALVI CleanAir Safety System uses electromagnetic polarization technology to remove VOCs, chemicals, odors, and pathogens from indoor air. It integrates with existing HVAC infrastructure, delivering superior filtration with higher airflow and lower energy consumption than traditional dense filters.

Overview

The ALVI CleanAir Safety System is an advanced indoor air quality solution that uses electromagnetic polarization technology to remove volatile organic compounds (VOCs), chemicals, odors, and airborne pathogens from indoor air streams. Designed to integrate directly into existing HVAC systems, the ALVI filter replaces standard filtration media with an electrically polarized field that captures microparticulates, deactivates viruses, bacteria, and mold, and binds them within the filter media.

This approach delivers meaningful air quality improvements without requiring additional bulky purification hardware. Facility managers and homeowners benefit from enhanced indoor air quality while maintaining higher airflow and lower energy consumption compared to traditional dense filtration systems. The technology is suitable for residential, commercial office, and new construction environments where indoor air quality is a priority.

Technical specifications
  • Electromagnetic polarization field: Creates an electrically charged field that binds microparticulates and contaminants to the filter media
  • Pathogen deactivation: The polarization field deactivates live pathogens including bacteria, mold, and viruses
  • VOC reduction: Independent testing demonstrated VOC reduction of up to 70% in controlled new construction environments
  • HVAC integration: Replaces standard HVAC filters without requiring additional equipment or infrastructure changes
  • Energy efficiency: Allows higher airflow with lower energy consumption compared to traditional dense filtration systems
  • Smart IAQ platform: Part of a broader smart indoor air quality solution for commercial and government applications
Technology readiness level

The ALVI CleanAir Safety System has undergone multiple independent validation efforts. Canadian Government testing confirmed that the polarization field deactivates live pathogens including bacteria and mold. A private real estate development firm sponsored independent testing in new build homes demonstrating VOC removal, and additional testing in commercial offices confirmed reduction of VOCs. Independent laboratory results and test reports are available on request.

Future validation is planned through controlled laboratory testing in a certified clean room environment with known variables, benchmarking the ALVI system against no filter and MERV 13 baselines across six independent tests for VOCs, odors, viruses, bacteria, mold, and pathogens. This validation study is expected to be completed within six months.

About CleanAir.ai

CleanAir.ai is a technology company that specializes in smart electromagnetic air filtration solutions designed for residential and commercial HVAC systems. Their flagship product, the ALVI CleanAir Safety System, replaces standard HVAC filters with an advanced electromagnetic capture technology. This system uses electricity to create a polarized field that binds microparticulates, deactivates viruses, bacteria, and mold, and traps them in the filter media, all while allowing for higher airflow and lower energy consumption compared to traditional dense filtration systems.

By integrating into existing HVAC infrastructure, the company's solutions help facility managers and homeowners improve indoor air quality without the need for additional, bulky air purification hardware. In September 2023, CleanAir.ai was acquired by Blade Air, a manufacturer of advanced indoor air quality solutions. The acquisition allowed Blade Air to incorporate CleanAir.ai’s patents and technology into its broader smart IAQ platform, helping commercial and government clients reduce their carbon footprint, lower operational maintenance costs, and enhance the well-being of building occupants.
