Artemis® direct microbial sampling technology revolutionizes the monitoring of soil health by utilizing proprietary smart-polymer technology. This innovative approach allows for real-time, in-situ quantification of microbial activity directly in the soil. Unlike traditional methods that measure biomarkers or metabolites, Artemis® directly responds to living microbial cells, generating a measurable electrochemical or optical signal. This provides a true indicator of biological activity, delivering robust performance even in challenging soil conditions such as high salinity and varying moisture levels.

Technical specifications

The core of Artemis® technology is its unique HB-PNIPAM polymer, which collapses upon interaction with live soil microbes. This polymer can be embedded into compact probes, providing automated, real-time indications of microbial activity and soil biological changes without the need for manual sampling.
