UABiosurf is a bio-based surface active modifier designed to improve textile properties. It enhances fiber strength, reduces friction, and prevents dye transfer, making fabrics more durable and resistant to wear. Compatible with detergents, it maintains fabric integrity and color over multiple washes.
UABiosurf is an innovative bio-based surface active modifier developed to enhance textile properties significantly. Synthesized from fatty acid soyate derived from soybean oil, UABiosurf acts as a crosslinker, improving the strength and durability of fibers. It maintains the shape and size of fabrics even after multiple washes, reducing shrinkage and maintaining garment fit. Additionally, it forms a protective layer on fabrics, preventing dye transfer and ensuring textiles remain clean and free from stains.
Currently at TRL 5, UABiosurf has undergone laboratory validation and initial testing. Further testing over the next year will include color fastness, detergent compatibility, anti-graying, perfume performance, and stain removal to confirm its adaptability across various textile types and washing conditions.
