BioActive Biologics is seeking strategic research, industrial and funding partners to advance an integrated biological waste-to-value platform.
Our technology combines microalgae-derived metabolites with complementary beneficial biological formulations. We are also developing BioActivated Biochar, designed to deliver these biological inputs into agricultural soils.
Our research will investigate whether these technologies can improve soil health, nutrient-use efficiency, crop productivity, crop quality and farmer economics.
The broader platform aims to convert suitable industrial residuals, including selected wastewater streams, into valuable biological products.
Preliminary research originated with Kwantlen Polytechnic University's Institute for Sustainable Horticulture in Canada. We have signed an MOU with Umfolozi Sugar Mill in South Africa and are pursuing a research collaboration with the University of Cape Town.
We are seeking partners to support laboratory development, greenhouse and field trials, industrial feasibility studies and eventual commercialization.
Potential collaboration structures include sponsored research, joint development, pilot funding, strategic investment and future technology licensing.
Our immediate objective is to establish independent scientific evidence and commercially viable applications.
BioActive Biologics develops and operates waste-to-value platforms that integrate biotic systems, such as microalgae, into industrial facilities like food and agricultural processing plants. By converting waste streams into agricultural outputs, the company aims to close the loop on extractive processes and return carbon to the soil. Their systematic approach involves designing and running pilot programs to prove viability before scaling operations across multiple facilities, functioning as both a platform developer and a primary operating partner.
This work addresses the environmental and productivity challenges caused by industrial farming and the overuse of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. By restoring soil health and biodiversity, the company provides solutions for agriculture and horticulture industries. Their efforts include the commercialization of microalgae-based biostimulants, biopesticides, and biocontrol formulations, supported by strategic partnerships and licensing agreements to bring innovative products to global markets.
