A targeted DNA integration platform combining programmable CRISPR/Cas genome targeting with site-specific integration mechanisms to enable precise insertion of multi-kilobase genetic cassettes in crops. Designed to reduce positional effects, simplify breeding, and support predictable trait development in species such as Brassica/oilseed rape and soybean.
This offering is a precision genome engineering platform that enables targeted insertion of large DNA cassettes into crop genomes. By combining programmable CRISPR/Cas-mediated targeting with site-specific DNA integration, the platform addresses the limitations of conventional random integration and homology-dependent repair for large payloads. The result is more predictable trait development, reduced positional effects, and simplified downstream breeding and molecular characterization.
The platform is being developed and optimized in commercially important crops, with current focus on Brassica/oilseed rape and soybean, and is intended to scale toward 15–25 kb payloads suitable for complex trait stacks.

Underlying expertise:
The platform is at an early-to-mid development stage. A five-step validation roadmap is in place: design of target sites, CRISPR components, and donor constructs; proof-of-concept insertion of 7–10 kb DNA; optimization of transformation and regeneration in target crops; validation of precise, full-length, single-copy insertion using PCR and sequencing; and assessment of stable inheritance with extension toward 15–25 kb payloads. Current readiness supports collaborative development and sponsored research, with further validation and scale-up planned.
