Proelefsis offers a digital certification platform that combines in-field crop monitoring data with soil analyses and chemical residue measurements to verify organic olive oil compliance. The platform automates and digitizes the traditionally bureaucratic organic certification process, producing real-time digital certificates of compliance that address agricultural fraud and ensure regulatory transparency.
Proelefsis Technologies has developed a digital certification platform designed to bring transparency, traceability, and regulatory compliance to organic olive oil production. The platform addresses one of the most pressing challenges in the agricultural sector: the prevalence of adulterated olive oil and the time-consuming, bureaucratic nature of organic certification.
By collecting and integrating data from farmer activities (such as fertilization and pest control), soil analyses, and chemical residue measurements on both inputs and final olive oil products, the platform generates a digital certificate of compliance. This certificate verifies that the production process meets the regulatory requirements for organic products, providing stakeholders across the supply chain with confidence in product authenticity and origin.

Key benefits:
The platform builds on existing agricultural ICT solutions, including IoT devices, decision support systems (DSS), and data analytics tools, extending them with a novel connection to chemical residue analysis specifically tailored for organic farming. Proelefsis is currently seeking scientific collaborators to support the analysis and optimization of crop input/output data, and is looking for access to chemical libraries and laboratories to perform residue analyses. The planned validation study is expected to take up to one year. Once completed, the digital certification service will be offered to a broad range of collaborators and stakeholders in the organic olive oil value chain.
