In aquaculture, feed palatability directly impacts feed intake, growth rate, and feed conversion ratio — the key economics of fish farming. Extrapal products are protein hydrolysates with controlled peptide profiles that stimulate taste receptors in carnivorous fish species. In low-fishmeal feeds (where fishmeal replacement reduces natural palatability), Extrapal preserves high feed intake. In medicated feeds, it masks bitter pharmaceutical tastes to ensure fish consume full drug doses. Extrapal also restores feed consumption after stressful events like fish transfers or environmental challenges.
