BioBuilt Solutions presents an innovative biotechnological approach to transform dairy byproducts, specifically lactose, into high-value terpenes such as limonene, nerolidol, and farnesene. These terpenes are in high demand across industries including food, fragrance, and chemicals, and are significantly more valuable than ethanol. The process leverages genetically engineered S. cerevisiae yeast strains designed to metabolize lactose and other unrefined dairy side streams, providing a sustainable and scalable alternative to traditional terpene production methods.
