TriEye offers an advanced SWIR imaging system using the Ovi2 camera and MAVI2 laser module, providing high-resolution, real-time chemical and structural analysis of ice cream. This system enables non-destructive quality control, surpassing traditional methods.

Overview

TriEye introduces an innovative SWIR (Short-Wave Infrared) imaging system designed for in-line quality control in the ice cream industry. Utilizing the TriEye Ovi2 SWIR camera coupled with the MAVI2 laser illumination module, this solution provides high-resolution, raw SWIR images covering a wavelength range of 900nm to 1600nm. This allows for a non-destructive, real-time assessment of the chemical and structural properties of ice cream, surpassing traditional vision systems by offering a detailed hyperspectral analysis to detect variations in product structure, appearance, and stability.

Technical specifications
  • SWIR Imaging: Utilizes the Ovi2 camera for high-speed, high-resolution imaging across multiple wavelengths.
  • Laser Illumination: MAVI2 module provides versatile illumination choices to ensure consistent image quality under various lighting conditions.
  • Hyperspectral Data: Captures detailed spectral information not available in the visible or NIR spectrum, aiding in the detection of foreign objects, moisture, and fat content.
  • Advanced Analytics: Built-in computational module with custom ISP algorithms and image processing software for real-time detection and data communication.
  • Customizable Configuration: Adaptable to different environmental and operational conditions with multiple illumination and physical configurations.
Technology readiness level

This SWIR imaging system has achieved a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 5, indicating that it has been validated in a relevant environment and is ready for further development and adaptation for specific industrial applications.

About TriEye lTD

TriEye is a fabless semiconductor company that has pioneered the world’s first CMOS-based Short-Wave Infrared (SWIR) sensing technology. By leveraging advanced nanophotonics research and a proprietary sensor design, the company enables the production of SWIR sensors at a cost significantly lower than traditional InGaAs-based alternatives, which are often limited by complex and low-yield manufacturing processes. The company's technology, including its Raven sensor family and TES200 image sensor, delivers high-resolution imaging and 3D depth perception capable of operating reliably in challenging lighting and adverse weather conditions.

This technology provides essential vision capabilities for mass-market applications in industries such as machine vision, robotics, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). By providing actionable, mission-critical data that remains clear at night or in low visibility, TriEye’s solutions assist partners in enhancing the performance and safety of their perception systems. The company, headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel, has secured significant backing from global investors and works with leading CMOS foundries to scale its sensing solutions, aiming to integrate SWIR capabilities into diverse industrial and automotive platforms.
