Overview

The low-cost intelligent greenhouse management system offers a transformative approach to modern agriculture by leveraging a LoRaWAN infrastructure. This solution integrates a suite of low-cost sensors, including cameras with AI models for crop health evaluation, as well as atmospheric and soil sensors for comprehensive environmental monitoring. The platform facilitates real-time data collection and analysis, empowering human decision-making and supporting automated workflows. Designed with robust security and resiliency features, the system ensures autonomous operation even when remote access is unavailable, making it highly reliable for continuous agricultural management.

Technical specifications
  • LoRaWAN Infrastructure: Provides a nonintrusive and cost-effective network for sensor deployment.

Technology readiness level

Currently at TRL 4, this technology has been tested in a lab environment. Future validation will include training AI models with low-cost cameras tailored to different crops, defining system architecture, and developing a minimum viable product (MVP) for demonstration in a controlled test environment.
