A novel platform using multiplexed SERS and VFIA integrated with machine learning for rapid, cost-effective vitamin detection in urine. This solution enhances diagnostic efficiency and accessibility by enabling sensitive, multiplexed vitamin analysis at point-of-care.
The multiplexed Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) combined with Vertical Flow Immunoassay (VFIA) presents a groundbreaking method for detecting vitamins in urine. This platform is designed to offer rapid, cost-effective, and user-friendly testing capabilities suitable for point-of-care applications. By integrating SERS with VFIA and machine learning algorithms, this solution enables sensitive and specific detection of multiple vitamins simultaneously, improving diagnostic efficiency and accessibility. This approach addresses the limitations of conventional assays, which are often time-consuming and require complex instrumentation.
The technology is currently at TRL 3, having demonstrated proof-of-concept for detecting vitamins and integrating SERS with immunoassays. Further development will focus on characterizing SERS spectra for vitamins D, B6, B2, and K in urine and the construction of a cost-effective Raman spectrometer.
