MycoDelens is an IP-protected, non-toxic composite formulation with broad-spectrum antibacterial and antifungal properties. It is proposed as a universal preservative for products like all-purpose cleaners, offering rapid pathogen eradication at significantly reduced concentrations without toxicity or resistance development.

Overview

MycoDelens (MD) is a proprietary, non-toxic composite formulation designed to function as a universal antibacterial and antifungal preservative. It targets a wide range of pathogens, including multi-drug-resistant bacteria and fungi, making it a versatile additive for cleaning products, cosmetics, and personal care formulations. Its non-toxic, odorless, and colorless profile positions it as a safer alternative to conventional preservatives and disinfectants.

Technical specifications

Key features:

  • Broad-spectrum antimicrobial action against over 100 serious pathogens, including ESKAPE bacteria, MRSA, VRE, MDR strains, and fungi such as Candida and Aspergillus species
  • Achieves 100% kill (5-8 log reduction) in under 2 minutes at standard concentrations
  • Effective at significantly diluted concentrations (e.g., 1:100 fold), supporting preservative use
  • Stable across a pH range of 6-9 and resistant to pathogen resistance evolution
  • Works against drug- and disinfectant-resistant strains, including those resistant to triclosan
  • Non-toxic, non-allergenic, non-corrosive, and non-oxidizing
  • Composed of cosmetics-approved active ingredients, enabling formulation compatibility
Technology readiness level

MycoDelens has undergone extensive laboratory validation against a broad panel of bacterial and fungal pathogens, demonstrating consistent high-efficacy kill rates. The next phase involves compatibility testing with representative commercial cleaning formulations to confirm preservative performance over short and extended timeframes. This step will validate its integration into end-use products at industrial scale.
